If you know, you know: Beat-Herder isn’t your average festival. It's a lawless labyrinth for ravers - by ravers. In 2025, it’s back — bigger, bassier, and weirder than ever.
This year’s line-up is stacked with icons, legends, curveballs, and a whole lot of filth. Whether you’re skanking in Toil Trees, getting wavy at Smoky Tentacles, or stumbling out of Stumblefunk, you’re in for a full-sensory assault in the best possible way.
🎥 PS: If you want a taste of the madness, watch our Beat-Herder 2024 video on YouTube below:
it’s sweaty, it’s glittery, it’s unhinged.
🔥 The Beat-Herder Main Stage

This is the beating heart of the festival — massive energy, genre-hopping madness, and iconic live performances that bring the whole valley to its feet. Expect everything from jungle to reggae, hip-hop to electronic funk. This year sees Fabio & Grooverider and the Outlook Orchestra bringing symphonic drum & bass magic, Dub Pistols and Congo Natty lighting up the stage with dub and ragga energy, and crowd favourites like 4am Kru, Gardna, Nubiyan Twist, Noasis, and the ever-ridiculous Lancashire Hotpots keeping the vibes wild and warm. This is the place for mass singalongs, mosh pits, and sunset moments that live in your memory forever.
🌲 Toil Trees

Welcome to the enchanted forest of filth. Hidden beneath towering pines, Toil Trees is Beat-Herder’s most beloved rave nook — where lasers bounce off branches and the bass never sleeps. Expect a full menu of house, disco, techno, and leftfield bangers. The 2025 line-up is stacked: Claude VonStroke, Darius Syrossian, DJ Boring, Fish 65 Octagon, Melé, Hammer, Jaguar, and Mr. Scruff bring the groove, while Gok Wan, Greg Wilson, and K-Klass mix it up with feel-good classics and funky throw downs. This is a non-stop dance floor in the woods, and it’s pure magic.

🛡️ The Fortress

Hard, fast, and full of attitude — The Fortress is Beat-Herder’s home for the harder stuff. With high walls, pounding sound, and industrial visuals, this one’s for the techno heads, bass warriors, and lovers of raw energy. Acts like Dave Clarke, Tim Reaper, Dillinja, and D.A.V.E. The Drummer are set to go hard, while MPH, Burt Cope, Mrs Magoo, and Infrared deliver the kind of late-night sets that melt faces. Expect a solid rotation of DnB, bassline, techno, and warehouse vibes. If your soul craves a drop at 150bpm, The Fortress will call you home.

🎪 The Ring

One of the newer additions to the Beat-Herder family, The Ring has fast become a bass-heavy haven. Think garage, DnB, jungle, and UK underground sounds — all in a 360-degree arena of sound. 2025’s highlights include the legendary Goldie, the fire of Charlie Tee & MC Savvi B, the mad energy of Silva Bumpa B2B Soul Mass Transit System, and sets from Anaïs, Meg Ward, Mark XTC and DJ Rap. You’ll also find curveballs like Bombstrikes Soundsystem, DJ Woody, Emma Forster, and even disco-drenched sets to cool things off before ramping them back up. Sweaty, loud, unrelenting.

🏭 Stumblefunk at The Factory
This is the gritty, anarchic playground for those who live on the edge. Run by Manchester’s Stumblefunk crew, The Factory is raw DIY rave culture — the sound system shakes the floor, and the energy here is second to none. 2025 brings the likes of Denham Audio, Kelvin 373, The Nextmen, Origin8a & Propa, Gen-Z, Ask My Bull, and ORAM, along with rogue sets and renegade antics that could only happen here. Whether it’s breakcore, jungle, acid, or something you’ve never heard before — The Factory is always unpredictable.

🌬️ Smoky Tentacles

A chilled-out, cosmic corner of the site, Smoky Tentacles is where the weird, wonderful, and world-influenced sounds come to play. This stage is eclectic, eccentric, and full of heart. Expect live sets and DJs mixing everything from Balkan brass to psychedelic dub. This year you’ll catch Stanton Warriors, Bin Bag Wisdom, Plump DJs, Omega Nebula, Tragedy, and Dub Catalyst, along with secret guests, sitar-infused grooves, and plenty of curveballs. A perfect place to come up, come down, or just get wonderfully weird.

🛐 BH&DWMSC

That’s The Beat-Herder & District Working Men’s Social Club, to give it its full title — aka a glorious den of nostalgia, dad dancing, and deeply British silliness. Catch bands like Tragedy (yes, the metal Bee Gees tribute), along with karaoke chaos, bingo raves, and performances that defy explanation. It’s impossible to walk past without going “...what the hell is going on in there?” and getting sucked in. Don’t resist.
And just when you think you’ve seen it all… there’s so much more. The Bubba Gum Stage is a sticky-sweet paradise for fans of deep, melodic house and tech house – proper smooth, rolling vibes that’ll have you floating. If you’re into groove over grit, this is your dancefloor. Then there’s Sunrise – hands down Will’s favourite from last year. It’s where he discovered psytrance for the first time and it blew his mind. Imagine cosmic synths, relentless BPMs, and the kind of sunrise moments that make you believe in magic.
The Laundrette? Pure chaos in the best way. Real foam, dance crews, surprise sets, and a playlist that’s impossible to pin down. It’s like a soap-slick fever dream and you’ll leave wondering if it was all real. Over in The Street, things get large – expect booming bass and big names with a broad, crowd-loving sound that cuts through day or night. And don’t forget the Beat-Herder Church, a proper holy rave where dancing is basically a religious experience. Oh, and there are hidden micro-stages everywhere – down lanes, behind trees, in caravans. Seek and you shall rave.
A note from Will:
I am so excited for Beatherder! Last year was my first and while my editor assured me I would love it I suppose I went in with a hint of reservation. This quickly dissipated. You can check out last year’s round-up for the details but the long and short of it is I think Beatherder might just be a perfect example of a festival done right. The size and occupancy makes sense, the layout works and the sound is quality! (Shout to Gay Paris! I will definitely bring ear plugs this time!)
The line-up looks stellar, I’m excited to meet up with our friends K-Klass again! The headliners all look great and I’m excited to get the chance to see the Outlook Orchestra since they had to pull out of the Outlook UK festival I went to a few years back. Hybrid Minds will no doubt be a show stopper to close out that Sunday and there’s honestly too many acts to shout out that I’m excited for so I’m gonna keep it to three. 4 AM KRU are always a fun gig and I won’t be missing it, Silva Bumpa B2B Soul Mass Transit System is gonna be HUGE and since Lys will be joining us this year I’m also gonna shout out The Lancashire Hotpots. Let’s see if they can break the conga line record from YNOT last year!
Beatherder is honestly one of my most anticipated events of the year. It’s gonna be great to see the friends we made last year again and just bathe in that beautiful Beatherder atmosphere.
🛖 Glamping, Camping & Full-On Hedonism
Whether you’re crashing in a yurt, a tent, or under someone’s inflatable flamingo, there’s an accommodation style to suit every level of chaos. Just bring glitter, snacks, and at least one waterproof thing — you’ll thank us later.
