One of Manchester’s most respected underground music venues, Hidden, is marking its 10th anniversary with a major refurbishment, unveiling a revamped space designed to enhance the clubbing experience. The newly transformed venue will reopen on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th March, with Gilles Peterson and DJ EZ headlining the weekend’s celebrations.
The extensive updates include improvements across the entire venue. A brand-new entrance, increased toilet capacity by 50%, and a redesigned bar area with more seating and an expanded drinks menu—including no- and low-alcohol options—aimed to improve convenience and reduce wait times. A new access route to the smoking area and industry-leading lockers, available for pre-booking, add further practicality.
Inside the club, the main room has been upgraded with new flooring, an enhanced Void sound system, and a cutting-edge lighting rig to create a more immersive atmosphere.
Martin Moffat, Operations Manager at Hidden, said:
"This refurbishment marks a new era for Hidden. We’ve spent the past decade building a reputation as one of the UK’s most revered club spaces, and now we’re ensuring our future remains just as exciting. We’ve listened to our community and made the changes they wanted—better facilities, faster service, and an even more immersive club experience. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back at our 10th birthday weekender."
