Jazz lovers rejoice! We certainly are after hearing of the return of the Jazz Cafe Festival 2025!
Last year the world-renowned venue invited jazz lovers to the beautiful Burgess
Park for an unforgettable day of music, food and culture. After this successful debut,
the festival is set to return for round two on Sunday 3rd August and trust us, this isn’t
one to miss. Anyone whose enjoyed a lush summer day in Burgess Park will know
there is few better places to soak in the rhythms and grooves of Jazz than this
beloved South London spot.
Last year’s lineup saw the likes of Grammy nominated Earl Sweatshirt, composer
Nils Frahm and South London’s own Ojerime perform alongside a range of new and
upcoming jazz singers and musicians. Naturally, we couldn’t wait to see what this
year had in store and to no surprise we were not left disappointed.

Leading the day is none other than Masego, arguably one of the most innovative and
respected jazz musicians of last decade. Masego came onto the jazz scene back in
2016 and has since released multiple albums including Grammy nominated
‘Studying abroad: extended stay’ and instrumentally rich ‘Lady Lady’ alongside
collaborations with a range of highly respected artists such as drummer Yussef
Dayes and world-famous Drake. His self-acclaimed genre ‘trap house jazz’
seamlessly blends jazz, trap, hip hop and RNB vocals creating a smooth yet fun and
energetic sound. Not only are his performances notoriously high energy but the
festival is also set to be his only performance in London this summer- all the most
reason to make sure you don’t miss out! Further artists are to be announced in the coming months so be sure to keep an eye
on the jazz café socials.
