Within the verdant embrace of Heaton Park, Manchester's Parklife Festival pops off again this year with an insane lineup. Organised by the one and only Sacha Lord, the festival emerges annually as a sonic playground, drawing thousands of music enthusiasts to its many stages. This is no ordinary festival; it's a celebration of Manchester's legacy as a trailblazer city within the UK music scene.
With a capacity that stretches to accommodate over 80,000 revellers, Parklife is more than just a music festival; it's a colossal gathering, nay, a congregation where music believers converge to revel in the shared euphoria of live performances. But what sets Parklife apart isn't just its size; it's the blend of genres and the passionate pursuit of pushing artistic boundaries. (How poetic).
This year, is the year, for all Garage heads and skanky ravers to converge on Parklife. I have to say, we are super impressed. Bloody hell, Saturday is absolutely cracking.
Saturday sees Interplanetary Criminal, Eliza Rose, and Moodymann (all in the Palm House) to Ghoulish, Bakey and Main Phase (Casa Bacardi Stage) shows promise. For Sunday - I mean, literally any one on the Ghosts of Garage Stage... just look at it, pure filth. Oppidan, Strategy, MPH, Chimpo & Badger... What you doing if you aint' there?.
listen to our Garage playlist to get the vibe:
Calling all who love DNB - if you have to pick one day make it the Saturday. Magic Sky stage sees a Worried About Henry lineup like no other.
lets take a look:
From Hedex to Bou, Kings of the Rollers ( Formed of Serum, Voltage & Bladerunner) to Hybrid Minds, mix that with a bit of Inja, Sub Focus, Mozey, and North Base and you have a right party. Top it off with Wilkinson for an all round solid ending (Let's face it, wouldn't be Parklife without him) - This stage is one not to miss.
Listen to our DNB playlist to get the jist:
Do you just want a boogie?
don't worry, it aint all skank and a bass face. want a little boogie - we think the jagermeister stage is the bets one for you.
On the Saturday head over to the Jagermeister stage and try and see Alex Mills for feel good numbers to get the feet moving over, mastermind that is Majestic for his rendition of 'Rasputin' always hits the spot. as well as Fish65Octagon who has been all over everyone's socials and for reason! Educational and splendid on the decks he is sure to pop off.
We find that Parklife Stage on the Sunday will be where all the good vibes will be partying. Salute being our must see anyway we also have the incredible Barry Can't Swim as well as Folamour and TSHA. All we have seen before and can safely say you will not be dissapointed. Go on, I know you want to.
For extra bounce and bass, check out the doof doof coming from Hannah Laing, savage beats from Trym and remember to horse around with Horsegirl over on the Magic Sky stage Sunday. You can thank us later.
We have all heard Nia Archives new album right? I assume so; it's sublime (as is she). so head on over to The Valley on Saturday to catch her bouncing around on stage. 'Crowded Rooms' has been playing on our mind! Also gracing that stage is the one and only Peggy Gou, legend Four Tet and "It's Virji" - Sammy Virji (who we have a particular fondness for as every time we see him, he just goes hard and we are here for it).
And to top it all off, on Saturday we have the Sugababes and Becky Hill playing main stage and on the Sunday we have Doja Cat closing it over on Parklife stage - how wonderful,
I mean, we cannot truly get over how many insane acts are posed to play over the two days in a muddy field in manny. It's truly endless for who we would go and see but we have tried to surmise it as best as possible. Hope we can see everyone we've listed!
Under the stewardship of Sacha Lord, Parklife has evolved into a cultural phenomenon, transcending the traditional confines of a music festival. As one of the masterminds behind Manchester's nightlife resurgence, Lord brings his unparalleled passion for music and community to every aspect of the festival.
But what truly makes Parklife great isn't just the music—it's the atmosphere. From the moment you step foot into Heaton Park, you're pulled into a whirlwind of energy. It's a feeling of liberation, Mancunian spirt and you'll realise that in that moment, you're exactly where you're supposed to be.
As always, we will see you at the front!
Follow us as we combat the field in question!
